Jean-Luc Barbier

Chair of the Scientific Council of the Coteaux, Maisons & Caves de Champagne Mission (UNESCO)

A graduate of the Strasbourg Institute of Political Studies and holder of a doctorate in law, Jean-Luc Barbier served as executive director of the Champagne Wine Interprofessional Committee until 2014. A co-author of the *Atlas Hachette des vins de France* and of several legal, economic, and historical articles on Champagne published in various journals, he is now a lecturer at the University of Reims and chair of the scientific council of the *Mission Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne-Patrimoine mondial*.
