Step inside Villa Douce for a short, fun, and immersive experience in the heart of its library. Working as a team, you’re invited to solve a series of puzzles within a time limit: 20 minutes to observe the details, piece together the clues, use your logic, and regain your freedom.

Designed as an event open to everyone, this gourmet escape game combines the fun of gameplay with the discovery of a historic site in Reims. The Villa Douce, built between 1929 and 1934 for the notary André Douce, features a unique Art Deco style, characterized by its brick facade, its ocean liner-inspired design, and the elegance of the 1930s.

Throughout the session, you’ll explore the atmosphere of this building—now home to the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne—in a whole new way. The small-group format encourages collaboration and attention to detail, with regular sessions throughout the afternoon. It’s a simple, friendly, and unique way to combine heritage, games, and fine dining as part of the Relais du Goût series.

Villa Douce

Built between 1929 and 1934 for notary André Douce by architects Pol Gosset and Jacques Debat-Ponsan, Villa Douce is a remarkable example of Reims Art Deco architecture.

Its brick façade and its interior, inspired by the ocean liner style, reflect the elegance of the 1930s.

Listed for its music salon, it now houses the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and opens its doors as part of the Relais du Goût event.
