At 4 rue des Crayères, you’ll step into the historic site of the oldest champagne house. Over the course of two hours, you’re invited to an event dedicated to exploring the pairings between champagne and cheese. The experience will begin with the creation of a cocktail made with verjus from the House’s own vineyards.

Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to taste two iconic vintages, each paired with a selection of regional cheeses.

In detail

As you step into the Nicolas Ruinart Pavilion, you’ll be immersed in the world of the oldest Champagne House through an experience that blends techniques, flavors, and expertise. After an introduction to the House of Ruinart, you’ll take part in a mixology workshop where you’ll create your own cocktail using verjus, made from the House’s own grapes.

The tasting continues with two cuvées paired with a selection of regional cheeses. You’ll explore different expressions of Champagne and Chardonnay, the iconic grape variety of Maison Ruinart. Observe the balance between the wines and local products, and discover how their textures and aromas complement each other. A convivial interlude in the heart of the 4 rue des Crayères estate.

Located at the heart of the House’s historic estate, the Pavillon Nicolas Ruinart welcomes visitors to a contemporary setting that opens onto the gardens of the Crayères site. It is a place designed to introduce guests to the world of Ruinart through tasting and social experiences.

Founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, Maison Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house. Inspired by the vision of Dom Thierry Ruinart, it has been developing a unique approach to Champagne for nearly three centuries, based on the expression of the Chardonnay and a constant pursuit of elegance. Even today, the House continues to cultivate this pioneering spirit at its historic estate at 4 rue des Crayères in Reims.
